Molos beach

Molos beach in Lefkimmi is a long beach which begins from the west of the port of the city. Molos beach is the favorite among the locals as it is situated very close to the center of the city, at a distance of only 2 kilometers, in front of the settlement of Molos. Fine sand and small pebbles, waters which deepen smoothly, sparse vegetation and a few hotels on the shore are the basic characteristics of Molos beach. In front of the places where, there are hotels you can find parasols and deck-chairs which you can rent. There are taverns near the beach as well as in the village of Molos. On the eastern part of the beach, on the right of the port you can find the more secluded Alykes beach which was available to bathers after 1988 when the salt mine of the region closed. The buildings and the facilities of the salt marsh have been restored and the surrounding area has been transformed into a very beautiful location for strolling.
