Mavros Molos is the main beach, located right in front of the coastal road in Kissamos and is 36 kilometers away from the city of Chania. At the most popular beach in the area you will find golden sand, shallow waters and trees. Mavros Molos is an organized beach where you will find umbrellas and sun beds. Of course a few meters above the bustling pedestrian street of Kissamos there are taverns, cafes, resorts and hotels. If you prefer to be isolated, to the west there is a small bay with pebbles, rocks and clay and there you can very easily make a revitalizing facial mask!Mavros Molos is also a large bay and the location of the ancient port of Kissamos.

Pachia Ammos is the main beach of Paleochora and as you can see from its name (Thick Sand), it is its sand makes the difference! Pachia Ammos is an organized beach with fine white sand located on the west side of Paleochora, 79 km at south of Chania. The coast has a length of one kilometer and this makes it look almost empty although it is crowded. Pachia Ammos is naturally ideal for children as the waters are shallow, but when westerly winds or southerly winds blow, the waves are big and you must be careful. On the beach of Pachia Ammos there are umbrellas, bars, cafeterias, equipment for water sports, showers and a lifeguard. The nudists prefer the western part of the beach.In recent years Paleochora attracts a large number of the visitors of Chania, as it has turned into a beautiful tourist resort. In Souda , one kilometer from the village Kalyves , of the municipality of Apokoronas and 17 kilometers east of the city of Chania lays the Kyani Côte, which is about two kilometers. Kyani Côte is sandy, with crystal clear waters and has tourist infrastructure, but not in its entire length. It is popular and crowded by local residents and the wider region of Chania. Its clear waters are very cold water due to sea currents. In the middle of Kyani Côte is poured the river Koiliaris, which springs from the tops of White Mountains, creating a very cold stream to the estuary. Kyliaris is one of the few rivers in Crete that its waters flowing throughout the year. Kyani Côte, one of the longest beaches of Chania, appropriate for a good getaway from the city, within walking distance and easy access.

Almyrida are the two sandy beaches separated by a rocky peninsula with shallow turquoise waters, located in the tourist resort of Almyrida. The area is located 23 km east of Chania and is very close to the picturesque village Plaka. The beaches in Almyrida are ideal for children. They are well organized and have excellent facilities for water sports. In the area there are sea caves of rare beauty, called “Nerospilia”. The restaurants are on the beach and are famous for the fresh fish and delicious local food. You can reach Almyrida by bus from Chania or even by taxi 24 hours a day.Both beaches face the island Karga that you can easily reach even by swimming, in order to admire the bird species that live there as it is a natural habitat for wildlife. There are ruins of the ancient walls of the Phoenicians and the tunnels that were built there during the Second World War. The untouched countryside and the olive groves surrounding Almyrida make it ideal for hikers. Just one kilometer from the two beaches there is Plaka which is the largest village in the area.

Ipsos beach is characterized by its large length and from the fact that it is situated just below the main road in front of the touristy village Ipsos, on the northern part of the city of Corfu. It is quite a narrow beach, covered with pebbles and has got shallow and clean waters for which it was awarded with the Blue Flag by the European Union. Ipsos beach is fully organized with parasols and deck-chairs. You can find a variety of sea sports such as water-skiing. There is also a diving center on the beach for those who love to explore the deep. This beach offers a unique view of the mountain Pantokratoras and its verdant slopes. For this reason, Sidari beach is one of the most visited and busy beaches whic, is mainly preferred by tourists who flood this region every summer. Keep in mind that the waters are quite cold. Nevertheless, Sidari beach has got shallow waters, ideal for families with small children. Approximately in the middle of the beach flows the river Tyflos which begins its journey from the mountains from the north-western part of Corfu.Sidari beach is fully organized with parasols and deck-chairs in its biggest part. At close distance you will find a great variety of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and touristy shops. There is the possibility to engage in sea sports such as water-skiing, skiing with tubes. You can rent boats, pedalos or canoes and you can even explore the sea bed because of an organized diving center which operates on the beach. Roda beach
Roda beach extends in front of the homonymous resort on the northern coast of the island. It is a large sandy beach, basically a continuation of Acharavi beach. Prasoudi beach
Prasoudi is located in the south-western side of Corfu, near the beautiful and large village of Agios Matheos. It is about 4 kilometers away from it. The naming Prasoudi comes from the plant «prasoulida » (chive) which grows on the cliffs a few meters above the shore. Marathias and Santa Barbara to the south, the continuation of Saint George, two adjoining sandy beaches, about four kilometers long. It can be reached by driving through Perivoli village and follow the signs, so distance from Corfu town is about 30 km. Nobody knows exactly where their boundaries are (the locals are still arguing about that!), but generally the northern part is called Marathias and the southern Santa Barbara. If you see a sign in the main road showing the way to Malta or Marta beach just remember that it is the same place with a different name that many locals use. The beach is well organized, with many restaurants and attract many visitors, although the parking area is quite small for all the people who drive down there.

Roda beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag for its clean waters which do not deepen abruptly making it ideal for families with children. In Roda beach there is a great variety of sea sports. Along the beach you will find some parasols and deck-chairs which the bathers can rent.On the beach there are many snack bars and taverns but, you will find a large variety inside the village of Roda. Roda beach is accessible by the main road. At the end of the beach there is a small port where, you will see the local fishermen with their catch of fish for the day. From this small port, boats depart on excursions to the nearby beaches or to islets surrounding Corfu. In Roda beach you can also rent your own boat in order to explore the neighboring beaches.
