Municipal Market (Agora) of Pyrgos

In the late 19th century, recently naturalized Greek citizen, Ernst Ziller arrived at the town of Pyrgos in order to build the municipal market, Stavropazaro. The Agora occupies an entire street block. The town’s most significant listed building is a two storey edifice with four entrances and several patios. Ancient Sicyon is located on the mound of Vasiliko, a village 4 kilometers to the southeast of Kiato, head of the municipality of Sikyona. Melagavi Lighthouse

Melagavi or Heraion lighthouse was built in 1897 on the Agrilaos peninsula, in the golf of Alkyonides Islands. In 1947, the building was renovated and repaired. Its outline is T shaped, and it has a rectangular light tower. The Heraion lighthouse is well known in the area. It is made of stone and it constitutes a typical example of lighthouse architecture. Ancient Messene

The Palace of Nestor

Fourteen kilometres from Pylos, on the hill of Epano Eglianos, in the previous century came to light the palace of Nestor, the famous king of Pylos.
