Prasoudi is located in the south-western side of Corfu, near the beautiful and large village of Agios Matheos. It is about 4 kilometers away from it. The naming Prasoudi comes from the plant «prasoulida » (chive) which grows on the cliffs a few meters above the shore. Prasoudi is a small, sandy beach with few pebbles and scattered rocks into the sea. There you will find few deck-chairs and parasols for hire but, it would be better to have with you all the essentials in order to enjoy, in relative comfort your swim as there are no other infrastructures. In this beach, exposure to the wind is great which makes it unsuitable for families with small children. Use your mask in order to explore the rocks under water and then enjoy the sun and the tranquility that Prasoudi offers, as it is one of the calmest beaches in the area. On the beach, there is a fish tavern which is famous for its fresh sea food, especially for its lobsters.

Petriti beach is located in front of the homonymous, picturesque fishing village and is relatively small and narrow. You will find it next to the small port of the village. Petriti beach is sandy and has got clean, shallow waters which make it ideal for children. Apart from that, it is located far away from the main road, offering security and tranquility to the bathers. On the beach you can rent deck-chairs and parasols. There are also showers and washrooms. On the beach you will find the famous, fish taverns of Petriti which offer fresh fish by the sea. Peroulades is a small old village in the northwestern part of Corfu. It is famous for its beach called Sunset Beach or Longas (Logas) Beach. The village is not very populated, the houses are old and only a few accommodations are available. There is one mini-market and one cafe-bar above the beach. The road crossing the village ends in a small parking lot above Sunset Beach and then you should go down by a steep narrow path to the sea. The beach is famous for the stunning views to the sea and the sunset but the weather should be very calm to enjoy them. The strip is very narrow and often covered by the waves (especially in windy weather) but yet the water is shallow. There is no sand but specific yellow clay which in windy days makes the sea look muddy and greyish. The seashore in the area is rocky and there are only a few small coves which can be reached by boat only.

Paramonas beach is a calm beach on the western shores of the island right in front of the homonymous settlement with its few residents. Paramonas beach is covered with fine sand and few pebbles. The waters are shallow near the shore but, they deepen abruptly a few meters ahead. The winds that blow during the afternoon make swimming relatively difficult for those who cannot swim well. Paramonas beach has got parasols, deck-chairs, vestiaries and showers. There are some seaside coffee shops and a mini market from where, you can get some necessities. Generally Paramonas beach is one of the most tranquil in the area, without crowds and commotion. It is offered for relaxation and tranquility. Paramonas beach is the first of a series, of less touristy beaches, such as Prasoudi, Chalikounas and Issos which succeed one another. They are covered with golden sand and impressive sand-hills and they end up in Lake Korission, the most important wetland of the island.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Europe is Myrtiotissa at a distance of 15 kilometers from the center of the city of Corfu. Steep cliffs covered with pine trees which stretch almost vertically down to a beautiful, clear sea create the scenery on this idyllic beach. In the sea there are scattered rocks which you can explore with a mask. Myrtiotissa is unofficially the only nudist beach on the island. The nudists prefer the ends of the beach. In the center and on its narrow shore you will find many bathers wearing their swimsuits, even families with children. In Myrtiotissa beach there is a canteen selling the basics (water, coffee, refreshments). This is where you may find some deck-chairs. Myrtiotissa was named after the monastery of Panagia Myrtidiotissa which is located at a distance of 300 meters from the beach on the edge of a verdant cliff. Situated on a lovely spot filled with wild and natural beauty, away from civilization and crowds, Myrtiotissa attracts mostly those who prefer seclusion and tranquility. It is not easy to get to this beach. A dirt road slopes towards the beach, but we suggest that you leave your vehicle at the large parking lot in the middle of the route and walk for less than one kilometer. The road is so narrow that if two cars meet, it is very difficult to maneuver on such a steep ground.

Snow-white pebbles, turquoise waters and hills full of olive trees, which descend all the way down to the sea, compose the scenery on Nissaki beach, in one of the most idyllic locations of the island. Nissaki beach is located in an area protected from winds and is famous for its magnificent sea bed which attracts amongst others, diving enthusiasts. It is a medium-sized beach, fully organized on which among other things, you can engage in sea sports or rent a boat in order to explore the beautiful, adjacent coves. Boukari beach on the eastern coast of the island extends in front of the homonymous fishing village and even though it is disorganized, it is very popular among the locals and the tourists for the beautiful view it offers to the city of Corfu but, also to the opposite continental coast. Boukari beach is essentially composed of many small consecutive bays with sand and pebbles. The sea bed has got sandy parts and in other spots, sea rocks protrude. In this region there are many tiny, wooden piers where, the fishing boats can anchor. Boukari beach is one of the cleanest in Corfu and it attracts mostly families and people who wish to spend a quiet day at the beach. On the nearby, seaside road you will find numerous touristy lodgings and some taverns which serve fresh fish and Corfiot specialties. Boukari beach is located at a distance of 3 kilometers from Messoghi which is a large touristy destination on the southern part of the island.

Benitses beach is a small beach covered with sand and gravel with clean waters and is located in front of the homonymous, famous resort on the eastern coast of the island. The beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag by the European Union. It is organized and offers a variety of sea sports. The most special characteristic in Benitses beach is its sea bed where, the aquatic plant Posidonia is in abundance. This plant has the property of filtering the water from harmful substances. It is proof of a clean sea and of a balanced environment and it only grows in the cleanest waters of the Mediterranean. It was in Benitses beach that the famous Kaiser, the German emperor Wilhelm II used to take his swim. In order to go directly to the sea, he had had a bridge built starting from his Achillion palace, the famous Kaiser Bridge which you will find on the road just before you enter the settlement. The main road is located above Benitses beach where, you will find many super markets, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Near the beach there is a small harbor where many touristy and fishing vessels anchor.

Bouka beach is located in the mouth of the river of Lefkimmi where, the river enters into the sea. This is why it is called Bouka (meaning the entrance). It is a small, sandy beach, not very touristy where, there is a public refreshment spot and a few parasols and deck-chairs for hire. Bouka beach is characterized by the vegetation in its back side which offers shade to the bathers. This beach is mainly preferred by the residents of Lefkimmi as it is very close to the city. In Bouka, with its shallow waters and its fine sand, you can mostly see families with their children. In order to get here from the center of Lefkimmi, you must follow the road along the river. Your car can get as far as the beach.
