It is a magical wetland, a beautiful recreation area about 60 acres in the heart of the city, where residents of Drama often enjoy stroll in the magnificent formed paths that crossing wooden bridges.

In the valley of Mygdonia, in a green oasis of 100 acres and only 2 kilometres east of the city of Lagadas, lie the homonymous curative baths. The evolution of the baths of Lagada is directely connected with the history, the social conditions, the traditions and the culture, as they were formed through the ages.
The first balneotherapy facilities in the region of Lagadas are dated back to 900 A.D. and tradition has it that the baths were created by the byzantine military doctor Ioustinianos. Today, two byzantine tanks from the years 900 and 1400 A.D. remain and are still used. Geographers and travellers in 1670 A.D. mention the byzantine facilities, with a special reference to the “magnificent marble group tub”. The systematic organisation of the baths began in 1925 and today Lagadas is a big and modern thermal city.

The temperature of the curative water is 39ο C.
Characterisation: Hot Na- Ca- K- SO4- HCO3- F hypotonic, slightly radioactive
Therapeutic Indications: Balneotherapy for rheumatisms, arthritis, gynecological ailments, skin ailments, kidney problems. Mineral water drinking therapy for ailments of the gastrointestinal and urinary system.
Health thermalism facilities
The thermal city of Lagadas has two byzantine tubs, which date back to the 900 and 1400 A.D., two modern group tubs, 21 individual jacuzzis and 20 personal tubs. Face and body treatments, beauty and rehabilitation cares, personally adjusted for the needs of the visitors were created based on the curative water. The facilities are open throughout the year, seven days a week. In summer, it is open from 07:00 am to 23:00 pm and in winter from 08:00 am to 01:00 pm. In the thermal city there is a hotel and a restaurant.

The Clock Tower was built in 1884, the era of Sultan Abdul Hamid B. In the decade of 1950 became architectural interventions and took its current form.
Behind the tower rises the minaret of the mosque of Yeni Mosque from the balcony where the muezzin calls the faithful of Islam to prayer. In the courtyard housed the religious authority of Muslims Rhodope, the Mufti of Komotini.
At the southwestern side of the assembly tower-mosque is the pedestrian shopping street of Ermou, while
the NE side, the traditional square of Hephaestus, is heaving laboratories tinplate, known teneketzidika, giving a unique color in the market town that lies around.

The Old Town of Xanthi is located in the north of Xanthi constituting its historic core and covers an area of 380.000m2. The city is built after 1829. The year that large earthquakes fully deplete the previous settlement. The city is built on the ruins and with core the churches, which were probably from the era of Byzantine Xanthia, as it was called from ancient time the city of Xanthi.
During the 19th century, Xanthi referred to as a town of 8,000 inhabitants, but was economically
flourishing and this is due to the richness of the cultivation, processing, manufacturing and distribution of tobacco and its products, but also for privileged position to major trading roads.
The city is built from Epirus and Macedonian craftsmen, characterized by labyrinthine form of cobbled streets and is full of Balkan houses, inns, shops, typical churches of the last Ottoman period but at the same time a western neoclassical mansions whose owners were mainly merchants tobacco .

The municipal art gallery located in the corner Orpheus and Pindar. In a beautiful old mansion of the family Kalevra, where located in the Old Town of Xanthi, houses the Municipal Gallery.
Mixing Ipirus and Macedonian architecture. Of particular interest appears the wooden ceilings.The Gallery hosts 52 paintings and two sculptures that adorn the halls of the permanent collection. And the name of the gallery Christos Pavlidis, great painter from Xanthi who gave remarkable number of
his paintings to the Gallery.
Besides the permanent collection, have hosted and occasionally continues to host projects, painters, sculptors, hagiographers, photographers, and creating child projects, presentations of books, school contests and even musical events.

Agios Kosmas marina, which served as the starting point of the sailing competitions of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, comprises exceptional seaside facilities able to accommodate a broad range of activities.
The marina is located at the coastal area in southern Attica, next to the city of Glyfada, 15km away from the city centre of Athens, 25km driving distance from the international airport “ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS” and 12km away from Piraeus port.
The marina Agios Kosmas is a private marina. The marina can accommodate 337 boats in total, on both permanent and floating pontoons. Agios Kosmas welcomes boats of sizes from 15m to 80m for short and long stay visitor berthing as well as annual berthing.

The Thracian Museum of Education of the Association of Educational Sciences was founded in 1992 to collect and exhibit school objects, documents and books of historical importance, mainly Thracian and of the wider area. Such museums are currently scarce in our country and it is worth noting what, perhaps, is the only rich collection with photographs and a series of wonderful saved school objects that counts approximately two centuries of life.
The Museum of Science in Educational
Society is a proper educational place, such as a school, and a visitor gets just by touring the area, lessons for the instruments used by teachers when teaching in the classroom and in contact with the school atmosphere of a past era, starting in the 19th century and early in the 20th century. Conferred is the building of the Municipality of Komotini the museum was built in 1882 by benefactor Chatzikonstanti Zoidi and his wife. Located in the yard of the Church of Agios Georgios of Komotini.
It was previously used as a kindergarten, hosted for many years due to the housing needs of the 5th Primary School of Komotini, later of the 5th Kindergarten of Komotini until November 6, 1995, and today continue its service to local society as a museum.

The old market of Komotini presents a special interest. Bounded by the roads Orpheos, Syntagmatos Kritwn, Vas.Pavloy, Pl. Ifaistou, Kanari, Kilkis, Androutsou, Gravia, Xenophontos and Venizelou.
The market dates back to the Ottoman era, and is included in a Hippodameios planning system with small streets and beautiful pergolas built by the Municipality of Komotini in the 1990s. A special characteristic is the extremely small area of the shops.
Here you will find every kind of shop from antique stores local products, clothes, shoes to taverns and bars.

Alimos Marina is one of the largest marinas in Greece with 1080 berths.
The Marina is located South West of Athens 15 Km from the city center, 8 Km South of Piraeus port and 30 km from El. Venizelos International Airport. It is served by a dense transportation network of Trams, Buses and Taxis, with stations 500 meters from the Marina.
Alimos Marina is one of the largest marinas in Greece with 1080 berths while there is a dry docking area for approximately 600 boats. The marina can accommodate yachts up to 40 meters long. The maximum depth of the Marina is 6.5 meters.

The Nautical Museum of Kavala was created in 2005 with the aim of preserving the maritime cultural heritage. Currently is underway the creation of space that will house the Maritime Museum.
Nevertheless, members of the Museum are being active by visiting schools, participating in the naval week with nautical exhibits and their participation in international conferences.
